November 17 was Thatha's birthday. I am told that almost every year since I have been born, I have celebrated Thatha's birthday with him! although this was the first time I cut a cake and ATE it too!!
While we bought a fruit cake for Thatha, I got myself a chocolate brownie without any icing which I loved and cut it along with Thatha. I must have celebrated Thatha's birthday six times that week as every time I had a piece of that brownie during the week, I made sure he had some dessert too and we sang birthday songs again.
We also took Thatha to a chocolate bar where Amma, Baba and Thatha dipped fruits and cookies in chocolate while I decided to miss all that and take a late afternoon nap.
