Bryce Canyon with Ansh (and more)

We had just gotten down from the flight from San Francisco to Vegas on August 8, 2022. We stepped out of the airport and found our ride.

Our ride wasn’t just a taxi. It was Ansh and his family in an 8 seater car that had enough room to stretch your legs out even when you were sitting in the back. Our vacation had started.

We were going to go glamping near the Bryce Canyon but before we did that we went to In And Out Burger. It was my first time there and I liked it so much I ate 1.5 burgers instead of 1 🍔. The drive to Bryce Canyon from Vegas was four hours long and Ansh, Arya, and I watched shows the whole time.

When we got there it was very late ⏰ but they had 24 hour service. The main tent was where they had their food and beverages and was very big and cozy.  It was still a tent because it had a canvas roof (see the picture).  After dinner we went to our tent. It had a shower and bathroom inside and a stove like thing to burn wood in case it got cold. There was a king bed and a couch that turned into a bed. Glamping is supposed to be glamorous camping and it was indeed very glamorous compared to camping.

One of the things we did was hike the Bryce Canyon. It was very pretty but it was super long and hard. Ansh and I talked throughout the hike but since we were at an 8100 feet elevation we ran out of breath quickly.  After we finished the hike we found out that there was still another small hike to the car! All in all the views were nice but it was torture.

Another hike we did was near another canyon called Glen Canyon. We saw this thing called the horse shoe bend canyon which was pretty cool. The hike wasn’t very long but it was very hot and tiring. After the Canyon we ate lunch and then went to our next place. It was a cave. The cave had originally been a bar and dance area but now it was a museum with gems, stones, Dino tracks, and dino poop!!! It was cool both in temperature and awesomeness.

A third hike we did was to a water fall where we could take our shoes off and walk in the water. It was nice but the rocks at the bottom kept poking your feet. After that we did one more long hike along the Red Canyon.

Also every night Ansh, Arya, and I made a skit to show to the parents. We made a Star Wars skit of us battling both nights with each part being a continuation of the next.

After we had finished our stay there, we went to Las Vegas. There we had a nice dinner and saw a light show done by the restaurant people of a frog singing and more! See the video. After that Ansh and his family left for New Jersey and we viewed the hotels. I liked the Luxor hotel the best because it was a pyramid and looked cool.

On the last day that we were there I got ice cream and a chicken sandwich for breakfast and then we got on the flight back home. All in all the vacation was great but I didn’t like the long hikes much and mainly liked spending it with Ansh and his family the best.
