Deepawali celebrations did not end just on the day of the festival, it continued into the weekend at my friend Sohom's house in Virginia. I was told Virginia allows fireworks in the backyard so that's what we did at his home and saw some big and noisy fireworks go up in the air which his baba burst. I used a few less noisy sparklers and then covered my ears for the noisy fireworks.
