On July 8 we left for rafting. We had been going rafting with the same gang for 6 years by now and this was our first one since COVID. In stead of doing a day trip like we normally do, we rented a house for the 13 of us to stay for 3 days. We arrived at the house around 4:00 PM.
The first day after we arrived all the kids watched a movie and played games in the game room. The game room had air hockey, pool, and pac man! It was very fun. We went to bed earlier because we were getting up early the next day for rafting.
The next day we went rafting. We went to the place and got signed in. It was an hour before we got on the rafts because there were lots of safety protocols to go over. The first rapid was the hardest one. These rapids in this river were harder and they were more frequent. We could only swim for 5 mins before getting back on to the rafts and even then we could hardly swim. That’s how frequent they were. We stopped for lunch on an island and after few more hours of rafting we got back to land. Rafting place had given us packed lunches and water which we carried in our rafts. Also we had water fights with other rafts using small buckets that rafting company had given. I kept throwing water but it went back on to our raft, but Baba threw it far on to other people in other rafts. At night we were going to stay up until 12:00 to cut a cake for Arun Uncle’s birthday but he got tired so we cut it at 11:00. We then played a game and went to bed.
The final day we got to play some games in the morning but then we had to go. Amma and Baba surprised me by taking me to Silver Diner for lunch. I tried a Philly Cheese Steak from there for the first time and it was really good. We came back home and then did STUFFFFFF!! I really enjoyed the trip but now I want to be at home rather than random houses or hotels for a bit.
P.S: once upon a time my teacher told me not to use stuff in my writing.
