On February 4, 2020 me and Flo presented a steam night project. We worked on it for a few weeks.
Our project was about what conducts electricity and what doesn’t.
We built a circuit that lights up when you touch the wires to the object. We tested metal, 🔋 battery, an 🍊 orange, play dough, and salt.
We made a poster listing all objects and we gave people stickers to put on each object to let us know if that object conducts ⚡️ electricity or it doesn’t. Green sticker was if object conducts electricity and pink sticker was for if the object doesn’t conduct electricity. Yellow sticker was for “I am not sure.”
Lots of kids came to try and you gave them a prize which was a necklace if they got more than two correct after we tested the circuit with them.
The scientist parent who interviewed us got the one with playdough wrong because he said it doesn’t conduct electricity but it did because it also has water.
I had a fun time at steam night.
