It was a great send off to 2011 - after all, the year I was born deserves a proper farewell. We started (or rather began the end of) it off with a trip to Mexico. Did I do anything new there? Let's see:
- The day we landed there was a visit from Santa - the guy travels, at my daycare one day, in Mexico the next and we even got to see his personal helicopter.
- We also celebrated Christmas! Let me explain this to you. You know how you get gifts on your birthday? Apparently Christmas is a special birthday on which everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) gets gifts. It's really cool having an extra Birthday!
- Moving on, I also got to see one of the wonders of the modern world - the great pyramid at Chichen Itza.
- Even more wonderful for me was all the time I got to spend doing fun activities such as:
- Playing on the grass - which was a bit prickly, but fun
- Swimming ( read splashing) in the nice pool and even getting a little nap on Baba every time I was in there
- Playing with sand on the beach - it was the first time I was actually encouraged to make a mess
- Taking a dip in the ocean - this just seemed a bit cold and unnecessarily choppy. Not really the most fun I had on vacation
- Adding to all of this was a number of side trips including
- A catamaran on which we went sailing and from which Amma and Baba went snorkeling
- A van that took us to Chichen Itza, the Airport, and a number of other places
- A catamaran on which we went sailing and from which Amma and Baba went snorkeling
Here are some pictures from the trip.
