After landing we went to a hotel called A Loft. When we got out of our room to go for dinner, we waited at the lobby but I didn’t know why. Then I saw one of my best friends named Sohom come out of the elevators with his parents and we went to dinner together. I was really surprised to see him and he was also surprised.
After spending a night at that hotel, we went to a Disney hotel called Swan and Dolphin. From there we took a boat ride to a place called Disney Hollywood studios where there was Star Wars Galaxy’s edge, new rides that came out in August. That was also a surprise. First when we got there it took Amma and Shree aunty an hour to get our fast passes linked. The fast pass is what it sounds like. It makes you go quicker in lines.
My favorite ride of the day was Millennium Falcon ride where you got to pilot and there were gunners and engineers. I also like Star Tours which was a place where you sat down on a chair with 4 D glasses and they played this in front of you where c3po was driving the ship and it felt like you were riding this ship. Then I went to this place called Jedi Training Camp where I fought a guy in costume who was Darth Vader and there was also Kylo ren.
I also liked the Star Wars spectacular fireworks end of the day. It basically showed bunch of Star Wars videos projected on the Chinese theatre in Hollywood studios with real fireworks and real fire. It also had at some point actual fire come from the castle and felt like you are in a toaster being cooked.
Next day was Sohom’s 10th birthday. I gave him a small gift that we got at a store in hollywood studios. It was a Kylo REN light saber as a keychain that could light up and bunch of Mickey Mouse lollipops.
Then we went to Magic Kingdom. Highlights from there were the car driving ride where you got to drive cars on a speedway. It was also the first time in 5 yrs that I haven’t gotten scared of roller coasters. Last time I went on a roller coaster was when I was 3 and I got very scared. I tried the same roller coaster and another big one and it was awesome. I also liked this ride called Astro Orbiter. You get into a rocket and it spins you round and round. You can also pull its lever to go higher.
Then we also went on this ride called Haunted Mansion which is basically not so spooky.
Then we went to this restaurant for dinner at the Swan Hotel and while we were eating a person dressed up as Pluto came to our table and started talking to us without actually talking. Goofy also came and he started being goofy. They also brought Sohom a plate with three small cakes and a chocolate that said happy birthday on it. Amma also got the same thing because her birthday was close by. Shree Aunty had arranged it.
The surprise was really good and also I got to play with Sohom after we came back from a really fun vacation. It was totally worth missing 1.5 days of school.
