'Twas the Night Before Christmas

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the house
Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that St Nicholas soon would be there.

Well.... let's get real. It was the night before Christmas and the stockings were hung, but other than that the poem doesn't describe what was happening.

That night we were at my friend Anushka's home and Santa had already left our gifts under the tree. Amma and Baba decided we could open our gifts early and then on Christmas morning we got to go in an aeroplane to a new city. But that's another story.

For now, take a look at a few pictures of us, the tree, and the gifts.
Our gifts and the tree
A Christmas miracle - Anushka and I didn't fight!

We opened a lot of gifts that night but both of us had our favorites picked for the night.  Watch the video of Anushka and I opening our gifts...

And finally we opened the last gift of the evening with our Baba's which was very different from anything we had got before and actually not a toy!...watch the video.
