While we celebrated my birthday at home, rest of Washington DC celebrated the cherry blossom festival. So after all my birthday parties, we went out and took a look at the cherry blossoms.
The first trip was with Ansh and his family. At that time the cherry blossoms hadn't completely bloomed as planned, but it was fun to run around the park and climb trees. Then one day after school, Baba took me in the train to see the blossoms with Amma. The cherry blossoms were in full bloom that day and it was great fun to run around the big park for a long time.
Finally, week after my birthday party, Anushka arrived to wish me and we went again to see the blossoms which had almost retired for the season by then. But we still had fun and walked across a long bridge and took two trains! As much as I liked seeing the cherry blossoms, I think the train rides and running and walking was much more fun.
